🏅 The first principle

<aside> 💡 As a guideline, when considering to spend your personal budget on something; ask yourself: “will this investment benefit both me and Luscii?”

We run this on trust, because at Luscii freedom and responsibility go hand in hand. You get the freedom to decide for yourself. If the honest answer is yes, do it and expense it!💪

You could develop yourself without spending a penny (taking on a new role within Luscii, changing your morning routine to feel more energised). Other things need a financial investment (a book, some training, a tool). Either way, come back to the first principle “will this investment benefit both me and Luscii?”

🌱 One annual personal budget of 4%

Your personal budget for personal development, professional development and mental and physical health is 4% of your annual gross salary.

📅 When does my personal budget start?

Your budget starts from your first day at Luscii, and resets at the start of every calendar year after that.

If you start mid-year, it’s your responsibility to pro-rata your first year’s budget (see the ‘Keeping track of your budget’ section below). Take 4% of your gross salary, divide by 12, then multiply by the number of months remaining in the year from your start month.

Example: you start in August. Your first-year budget = (4% of gross salary ÷ 12) x 5.

From the following January, you get the full 12 months. Your personal development budget then tracks normally, January to December.
